“I have always been the type of person that hates to ask for help. With the struggles I have had trying to find a job, I had to lower my pride and walk into the door at The River. The volunteers and helpers were so kind to me and explained what I needed to do. I ended up with more groceries than I ever imagined I would receive. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for putting food back on my table!”

3 Votes for $250,000...Voting starts today

The River is competing in Chase Community Giving. Voting starts today and will be open until Wednesday, September 19. You can cast up to 3 votes for The River and help us win anywhere from $10,000 all the way to $250,000!!!

Who can vote?
Members of Facebook and Chase Online Customers

How many votes do I get?
You can vote for the River up to 3 times.  Here's how:

  • Vote 1 time on Chase Online (you get a total of 2 votes here, but they must be used for 2 different charities) www.chasegiving.com
  • Vote 1 time on Facebook (again, you get a total of 2 votes here, but they must be used for 2 different charities) www.facebook.com/chasecommunitygiving
  • And you get 1 bonus vote if you share the contest on your facebook profile and then one of your friends follows the link and votes. (this additional vote can be used on a charity you previously voted for)
How do I find The River among the charity contestants?
Search "River Food Pantry" (if you write "The River Food Pantry" we won't show up!).

After I vote, then what?
Because each person only get a few votes, we need the word about this to go viral so that we have a chance to be in the top vote getters. Share the contest with as many people as you know--email the links to your networks, share on Facebook, get creative with how you get the word out!

Where can I see official program rules?
Go to www.chasegiving.com and click on "Program Rules" below the vote now button.

Why won't the pages load?
The contest will attract millions of voters and may cause web pages to load slowly. Be patient and keep trying to get your votes in!

What could The River win?
If the River receives enough votes to get into the top 197 charities, we could win anywhere from $10,000 up to $250,000! That will feed a lot of people!

Thank you for voting and thanks for your support!
