"The River is more family oriented than other food pantries I've been to. Other places basically kick you in and kick you out again. I know a lot of people who use The River.  It's made a real difference in their lives."

#Giving Tuesday- The "Reason for the Season"

gt

After spending a day with friends and family giving thanks, we spend the next consecutive days getting deals (Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, Cyber Monday). On #GivingTuesday, we have a day for giving back!

#GivingTuesday kicks off the holiday giving season and inspires people to collaborate in improving their local communities and to give back in impactful ways to the charities and causes they support.

#GivingTuesday is a reminder of the “reason for the season”, and you can participate by giving back to The River!

Every act of generosity counts, and each means even more when we give together. Thanks to a generous donor, every donation given on #GivingTuesday will be matched!

"For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me."
- Matthew 25:35-36
