Current Needs

We launder at least one load of aprons and large, heavy kitchen towels a day. A heavy-duty, efficient, commercial washer and dryer are critical! Please call for details, 608 442 8815.

Help keep our slippery floors clean and dry with several commercial quality, non-slip doorway mats.  The kind that traps the snow and other debris from tracking up the floors.

Do you have broken or unused appliances, electronics, lamps, extension cords, etc? Simply cut off the cord (make sure it is unplugged!!!) and bring it to The River. And, we'll take those old cell phones. A local recycling company will give a donation to The River in exchange for your old cell phone batteries and power cords.

Do you have any old keys?  We take them for recycling too!

Food drives collect a variety of food, which is great for stocking pantry shelves. They also spread the word about The River and hunger in our community. Please consider organizing a food drive at work, school, church, organization or neighborhood. We can provide barrels, to request please email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. Or simply bring in the collected food during regular donation hours, Monday-Friday, 9am-6pm.
