"The River means less stress in my life. I know I can depend - it's hard to say that for most people - I can depend on [co-directors] Jenny and her husband Andy to be here, for fresh food to give to my children, a warm and open heart to talk to and say a prayer with if I need to."

- Deb (longtime River client)

The River, the busiest pantry in Madison set a new attendance record in May 2012 with 2736 family visits and again served more than 2700 in August 2012 with 2727 visits.

We are currently in a time of year where donated food is hard to come by for pantries like The River. Consider organizing a food drive at work, school, church, your service club, or in your neighborhood. At The River, food donations of any size are greatly appreciated and usually given to needy families within 24 hours of being received. Simply bring in the collected food during our donation hours.
