"I just wanted to thank you for the opportunity to volunteer. It was my first experience volunteering at the River Food Pantry and it definitely will not be my last. You were so welcoming and friendly. You truly run a top notch organization. The system is well planned out, the selection of available items was amazing and you have a great staff of volunteers. I had a lot of fun and I think the work you do for the community is wonderful."

Welcome to The River Food Pantry.

We are a nonprofit, volunteer driven, faith based community providing hot meals, groceries, clothing, and household items to Dane County families who are struggling to make ends meet. Our primary mission is to bring a message of mercy and hope to those in need by providing nutritional basics and encouragement. We strive to be worthy and honorable custodians of the gifts we receive on behalf of those we serve. For every dollar donated to us, over 97 cents goes toward food and services. And no one who comes to The River goes away hungry.

The River is hiring!

Does helping oversee a program that encompasses food service, children and community engagement sound fun and exciting? Does being part of a team that serves 600+ hot meals to hungry people sound like fun? The River is hiring a Lunch Program Coordinator.
