The River, the busiest pantry in Madison set a new attendance record in May 2012 with 2736 family visits and again served more than 2700 in August 2012 with 2727 visits.

Pantry Hours

The River is CLOSED on Thursday and Friday.  Nov 27-28.

Pantry Hours of Operation

Tuesday 11:30 AM - 1 PM Pantry and Free Clothing Available
Tuesday 5 PM - 6:30 PM Pantry and Free Clothing Available, and a Hot Meal.
Thursday 11:30 AM - 1 PM

Pantry and Free Clothing Available

Thursday 5 PM - 6:30 PM Pantry and Free Clothing Available, and a Hot Meal.
Friday 6 PM - 7 PM Pantry and Free Clothing Available, and a Hot Meal.
Friday   Closing after all are served

What to Bring

Any resident of Dane County who is in need can use the food pantry.  Please bring proof of address and household size.  A recent bill or other mail can be used as proof of address.  You can also use mail for proof of household size.  Examples of other documents for household size would include insurance cards, school ID's, birth certificates, SSN's, vaccination records, etc.  Households from 1 to any number, that have a need, can use the food pantry.

Donation Hours

Clothing and food donations can be brought to the pantry at the following times:

Monday 9 AM to 6 PM
Tuesday 9 AM to 6 PM
Wednesday 9 AM to 6 PM
Thursday 9 AM to 6 PM
Friday 9 AM to 6 PM
