“I can’t believe I’m just hearing about The River and it’s right in my neighborhood! I am so glad for a place to donate clothes where I know it will go directly to people in need. I am talking up The River to all my friends.”

Help The River SOAR!

The River Food Pantry is starting on a wonderful strategic planning journey and we invite you to come along!

We are participating in an Appreciative Inquiry and SOAR process. Appreciative Inquiry is a systematic approach to discovering the best in people, organizations and systems, and building upon those strengths to create positive change. As applied to strategic thinking, we look at Strengths, Opportunities, Aspirations, and Results (SOAR).

We begin by focusing on the strengths of The River, the many accomplishments, values, and attributes of our organization. We bring the very best of the past forward and build upon it to determine the future direction of The River.

And we want to hear from you! Appreciative Inquiry strives to include the voices, opinions, hopes, dreams, ideas of as many people as possible who are a part of The River community.

We invite you to join us on this journey. We need your input to help us determine the Strengths, Opportunities, Aspirations, and Results that will empower and embolden the future of The River.

What is your dream for The River? Let’s go.

"For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me."
