Fun on Ice Recap | The River Food Pantry

A Cold but Successful Fun on Ice!

Temperatures reaching into the single digits didn’t stop families from coming out to support The River Food Pantry at the second annual Fun on Ice!

The event, held at The East Side Club, brought in roughly $2,000 towards the pantry!

Bucky Badger and D.C. Eagle walked the room high fiving and posing for pictures.

NBC15 am weather anchor Amy Carlson bundled up and took on the event’s emcee role.

The UW Band came back this year performing on the ice as well as inside The East Side Club.

Everyone enjoyed hot soup from Good Food, mac and cheese and chili from The Old Fashioned and delcious treats from The River Bakery.

Many left the event with a fun prize from the pick a prize raffle featuring great gifts from local businesses.

We would like to thank everyone that came to the fun event as well as everyone who took the time to volunteer.

The money raised at Fun on Ice will go towards purchasing nutritional food to be distributed at the pantry.

Thanks again Good Food, The Old Fashioned and Starbucks in Monona for providing delicious food and hot coffee.
