I am the Operations Supervisor at The River Food Pantry, where I support the general operations of the food pantry, serve as a role model for cultivating an environment that enables clients to feel welcome, important and appreciated and assures the safety and security of clients, staff, and volunteers by managing security operations in the building and parking lot areas. This position also leads the mobile lunch program and work of kitchen staff and volunteers who plan, prepare and serve over 600 nutritious meals a week for clients, volunteers and staff.

Seeing the smiles on both our adults and children faces makes it all worthwhile at the end of each of our sessions. The volunteers, and staff are an amazing group of dedicated and hard working, fun, genuine individuals that I totally appreciate. I think of them as my second family and the River as my home away from home. Serving the community at large, helping those humanitarians that are in need, following the golden rule, treating others as I want to be treated (Luke 6:31 & Matthew 7:12), The River is certainly a magical place, we provide, food, laughter, fun, clothing, dinner, hope and wonder as Walt Disney World. God is the King and He provides all of the magic and answers to our daily prayers.

I am married to my high school sweetheart for twenty eight years, raised two nieces from the age of three & five until they graduated from high school. I have a sixteen year old son (which is an amazing child). I am an ordained Deacon. I attend Christ the Solid Rock Baptist Church. I believe in the power and anointing of the Holy Spirit. I live my life according to 1 Thessalonians 5:18 KJV: In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

I enjoy long walks, spending time with my family, worshipping the King (Jesus Christ), experiencing all types of great food (one of my favorite foods are chitterlings), listening to different genres of gospel, R&B, country and contemporary music, singing (I sing first tenor), reading, learning and applying God’s word to today’s circumstances.
