Cold weather and the holidays are just around the corner. Stay warm and give back with one-of-a-kind, upcycled wool mittens handcrafted by volunteers from Pantry Partners of Dane County (formerly known as ReMitts)!
Each pair of these beautiful, warm mittens is handmade from repurposed wool and lined with soft fleece, making them as cozy as they are sustainable. Even better? All proceeds benefit The River when you purchase from the following events and locations:
Events:
- St. Dennis Holiday Fair: Nov. 8–9
- Nakoma Jingle & Mingle: Nov. 11
- Aldo Leopold Nature Center Holiday Market: Dec. 7
Locations:
- The River Food Pantry (2201 Darwin Rd)
- Ace Hardware Lakeside (211 Cottage Grove Rd)
- Ace Hardware Northside (2935 N. Sherman Ave)
- Ace Hardware Cottage Grove (203 W. Cottage Grove Rd)
- Ace Hardware McFarland (5210 Farwell St)

In addition to mittens ($35/pair), dryer balls ($20 for 3) will also be available—perfect for practical, eco-friendly gifts this season.
Pantry Partners also needs donations of 100% wool sweaters, which can be dropped off at The River. Your old sweater could become someone’s favorite new pair of mittens!
Pick up your mittens and dryer balls throughout November and December, and spread warmth in more ways than one.
