Food NOW (Nights or Weekends)
After-Hours food lockers are now OPEN at our new location at 3301 Packers Ave!
If you need food immediately and we are closed, please proceed past the loading docks to the space under the large metal awning to access the after-hours food lockers. Follow the instructions posted to the lockers to receive a text message and get food.
Food NOW (Nights Or Weekends) is an after-hours food locker program of The River Food Pantry.
Each locker is refrigerated and contains a short-term supply of shelf-stable and perishable foods at no cost. Anyone is welcome to access food from these lockers—you do not need to be an existing client of The River. All you need is a phone that can receive text messages!
Food NOW is meant to provide immediate emergency food support when access to The River’s other services is unavailable, so lockers are not open during Drive-Thru hours. To ensure food is available for others in need, you are welcome to use only 1 locker in a 72-hour period. Misuse of the program, damage to the area, or ongoing issues may result in a suspension or ban from the program.
