Work on The River Food Pantry’s new building is nearing final completion!

Finishing touches are being put on the interior with things like the installation of wood cabinets and countertops, hanging of wood doors, and finalizing all flooring finishes. Our mechanical, electrical and plumbing trades are putting the final touches on their systems and getting prepared to start up and commission these systems.

On the exterior, landscaping work is nearly complete and asphalt paving for the parking lot is in place as well. The striping of the parking lot will happen very soon, giving the exterior that finished look. And if you haven’t driven by lately, the new logo for The River has been installed on the side of the building.

All trades are working towards achieving final inspections from the City of Madison building inspection department, which will allow us to obtain our occupancy permit. Our goal is to begin moving in the building furniture and equipment by early December.

This is an incredibly exciting time for the project as we near completion so that we can be in a position to start serving our clients soon after the new year.
