Work on The River Food Pantry’s new building continues on all aspects of the project as we move closer to the completion date. Inside the building, the focus is on building finishes. Drywall is basically complete, and painting is following closely behind. Installation of acoustical ceilings, ceramic tile, and floor finishes are progressing as well. The installation of kitchen equipment and the new coolers and freezers is nearing completion. Our mechanical trades are putting the finishing touches on these systems and working towards the startup of the mechanical and electrical equipment.
Outside of the building, the focus is on getting site work completed. Site concrete is nearly complete, and the final grading of the parking areas is being finished so that asphalt paving can be installed. Landscaping is being installed, and it is great to see green grass around the building.
We must again give a shout-out to all of the people in the building trades who are working so hard to deliver this incredible new facility to serve our community!

I so cannot wait to be inside the new building! Thank you for all you do, and i really look forward to coming back as a volunteer, as well as a client!
wow … it is really looking good
Looks lovely! Can’t wait to see you all in your new home. Staff, clients and volunteers all deserve this wonderful new building.
What a great addition to our community! May the gift of this beautiful building be returned by a flow of support for those who rely on its services.
This makes me so happy! I’ve been worried about my local community due to the world getting more chaotic and unpredictable, so stuff like this gives me hope and a sense of security. I am especially happy about the fact that your installing a microgrid AND geothermal system, and as a moderately prepper type person it is nice to see you all consider reducing grid dependence as part of your improvements 🙂
