We are excited to announce that Andy Czerkas, River Founder and Director, has won the AARP Foundation’s Hunger Hero Award, which includes a $15,000 grant to The River. Andy is also the recipient of an AARP Magazine’s Inspire Award and will be profiled in the December/January issues of AARP The Magazine. Other winners of this year’s Inspire Awards include Jane Goodall, Steve Jobs and Toby Keith, among others.
