The River Makes Adjustments due to Air Quality – Wed, June 28 | The River Food Pantry

Due to worsening outdoor air quality from Canadian wildfire smoke, The River is making adjustments to continue to serve people while keeping our staff and volunteers safe.

For today, Wednesday, June 28:

  • Our mobile meals program, Munch, is canceled.
  • All our other programs will continue to run, including curbside groceries, FAM, ePantry and River Delivers.
  • Curbside groceries will not offer a menu to choose your groceries from. This means all groceries will be prepackaged and no food will be stationed outside.
  • All staff must wear a mask when outside. Volunteers are strongly encouraged to wear one as well.
  • We encourage all clients to bring a beverage and keep your vehicle windows closed while you wait in our curbside distribution line. Please be patient with us as we do our best to serve you.

We will take this day by day. As the situation changes, we will keep everyone informed. Please check our website and social media for updates.

Thank you for your understanding,
The River Staff
