A Brunch Taste-off for The River

Sunday, September 15 • 1–4 pm
The East Side Club

Sips & Slices: A Brunch Taste-Off for The River was a fun and powerful way to make a difference during Hunger Action Month!

Over 200 of our supporters came together at The East Side Club on Sunday, September 15 to help raise over $73,000 for The River to provide food and supplies for thousands of local households facing food insecurity!

Everyone tasted 10 delicious brunch dishes prepared by teams of local chefs and celebrities and voted for their favorites. And the winners were…
  • Best Savory Slice: Sweet Potato Cornbread with Bourbon Sauce and Bacon from Chef Carmell Jackson of Melly Mell’s Soul Food and Wisconsin State Representative Melissa Ratcliff
  • Best Sweet Slice: Triple Berry Cheesecake with Brandy Old Fashioned Topping from Chef Cory Campion of The Esquire Supper Club and Lee Acker, Host of Live It Up! on Television Wisconsin
A heartfelt THANK YOU to our sponsors, participating chefs and celebrities, partners, donors, volunteers, event committee members, and everyone who attended for making this second annual fundraiser a huge success!
